Overhaul of Ex Equipment at “Tehnički Servisi” Compliant with International Standards

Our colleagues at Naftagas – Tehnički Servisi have once again demonstrated their expertise, dedication, and continuous commitment to improving service quality.

In the Ex workshop of Naftagas – Tehnički Servisi, the Institute for Prevention, Occupational Safety, Fire Protection and Development Ltd., Novi Sad recently issued a Certificate of Compliance for the repair and overhaul of Ex equipment, in accordance with SRPS EN IEC 60079-19 – Explosive Atmospheres, Part 19: Repair, Overhaul and Maintenance of Equipment.

This internationally recognized standard (IEC 60079-19:2019) provides technical guidelines for the repair, reconstruction, overhaul, and modification of equipment intended for use in explosive atmospheres. The certificate confirms that Naftagas – Tehnički Servisi meets all requirements for the repair and overhaul of Ex equipment for the following types of protection:

  • Flameproof Enclosure (Exd): Electric motors up to 160 kW, voltage up to 0.4 kV, and other equipment
  • Increased Safety (Exe): Electric motors up to 160 kW, voltage up to 0.4 kV, and other devices
  • Non-Sparking Equipment (Exec): Electric motors up to 160 kW, voltage up to 0.4 kV, and other Ex equipment

Until the certificate expires, Naftagas – Tehnički Servisi will conduct annual inspections in accordance with prescribed requirements.

In the verification process, in addition to experts from Naftagas – Tehnički Servisi, representatives from the Department for Organizational Effectiveness, Standardization and Quality – Business Process Standardization Sector participated, providing support in organizing and conducting the external audit.
